Publication Date: 2020-01-16 During the first week of 2020 (January 6-10), Craig Martin, Vice President of the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), and Patrick Debideen, Regional Manager, along with Allmark General Manager Chen Zhihua, visited key stakeholders and manufacturing facilities involved in the LNG Canada project, including Shell, COOEC-Fluor Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., and Offshore Oil Engineering (Qingdao) Co., Ltd.
The LNG Canada project has secured its LNG export license and will construct and operate a large-scale LNG export facility in British Columbia (B.C.), Canada. The project plans to build a four-train LNG plant with an annual capacity of 28 million tons, requiring extensive welding operations.
As Canada's welding standards authority, CWB closely monitors the LNG Canada project and actively provides support to global manufacturers, ensuring all welding operations meet compliance and safety requirements.
As CWB's exclusive authorized partner in China, Allmark represents CWB in serving all Chinese customers. Our services cover CSA W47.1, CSA W47.2, CSA W55.3, CSA A660, CSA W178.1, and CSA W178.2. The purpose of CWB's visit to China was to gather feedback from Chinese manufacturers on CWB and Allmark's services, ensuring that Allmark's localized support continues to provide manufacturers with stronger assistance.
During the visit, CWB leadership conducted on-site inspections of Allmark's Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Welder Testers, who were conducting CWB welder qualification tests and welding procedure evaluations. CWB highly praised Allmark's team for their exceptional professionalism.
With seamless collaboration between manufacturers, CWB, and Allmark, the LNG Canada project is well-positioned for successful execution and mutual growth for all parties involved.
