  • Equivalent to the AWS-recognized CAWI (Certified Associate Welding Inspector).

  • Suitable for entry-level inspectors, primarily assisting senior inspectors in quality control, welding inspection, and documentation tasks.

2. CWB Level II Welding Inspector (CSA W178.2 Level II)

  • Recognized by AWS as equivalent to CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).

  • Designed for experienced professionals responsible for independently conducting welding inspections, interpreting welding codes and standards, and supervising welding project implementation.

3. CWB Level III Welding Inspector (CSA W178.2 Level III)

  • Also recognized by AWS as equivalent to CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).

  • Intended for senior professionals, whose responsibilities typically include welding quality management, technical guidance, compliance auditing, and training of Level I and II inspectors.
