CWB Certification: Mandatory for exporting to Canada

The Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) is one of the world's largest and most innovative welding organizations. Authorized as a Notified Body (NB) by the International Welding Institute (IIW) and operating under the oversight of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), CWB administers CSA welding standards. It requires enterprises to comply with CSA standards, enabling them to enhance production efficiency, improve product quality, and strengthen market competitiveness by standardizing and optimizing welding operations, processes, and personnel skills.

CWB certification is mandatory for welding manufacturers producing steel or aluminum structures for export to Canada and is widely recognized across North America and other regions. Welding enterprises involved in steel or aluminum structure businesses must obtain CWB certification to export products to Canada or participate in Canadian projects. This certification serves as a fast track for Chinese welding manufacturers to enter the entire North American market.

As CWB's exclusive partner and authorized agency in China, Shanghai Allmark is responsible for implementing, operating, and promoting CWB's services in China. Our offerings include certification consulting, education and training, inspection and testing, and related technical services. Shanghai Allmark is committed to meeting client needs, delivering value-added services, and advancing the localization of CWB operations. Through our support, domestic clients overcome certification barriers caused by language, cultural, and standard interpretation differences, achieving efficient and seamless business collaboration.

Over the years, Shanghai Allmark has assisted hundreds of domestic enterprises in sectors such as offshore engineering, steel structures, machinery equipment, elevators, power towers, and petroleum pipelines in obtaining CWB certification and successfully entering the North American market.
